How do I reserve a room?

Book Online by pressing the "BOOK NOW" button that you can find in the top of our Web Page.

After I make my reservation, how long does it take to get Hotel's confirmation? 

If you reserve the room Online directly at our website, then you will get an inmediately confirmation letter by E-mail. Now, for enquiries sent throught our website, takes usually between 24 - 48 hours. If you do not receive any response from us within two days, please contact us immediately at info@lamariposa.com or Call us for free at 1-800-572-6440

Do you require my credit card details to make a reservation?

Yes, we need your credit card to process your booking. All bookings must be guaranteed prior the due date. Reservation with no guarantees may be cancelled.

Are your Hotel rates per room or per person? 

All our listed rates are per room, based on single or doube occupancy, per night. An extra charge of $40 plus taxes will be applied for each additional guest. An additional guest is defined as a person in addition to the allotted double occupancy per unit; children under 8 years old are free of charge when sharing with parents (maximum two children per room)

Does the price include any meals?

Only Breakfast is included in our rates. If there are any meals included in the price, this will be made clear on the confirmation form.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

... There are a few options for the transport from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to here, and you can get here by ground or air. We just finished the new road connecting San Jose and Manuel Antonio, so the ground transport is much faster than it was and now gets here in about 2 hours and the drive is really pretty. If you have the time, I recommend seeing some of the country by going to ground. Air is faster though, getting here in 25 minutes. For the ground transport, you can either rent a car, or we can hire a minibus to take bring you here. On the minibus, there are no weight limits on luggage and we can get a private SUV with a private driver to bring up to 4 people from the airport to the hotel directly for $190 USD each way. For the air transport, it is $95 per person each way and there is a 25-pound weight limit per person. For information on domestic flights, please check schedules and fares on the following links: www.flysansa.com or www.natureair.com They do fill up so book as far in advance as you can. Let us know what you think works the best, and we'll send you more info.

Do you accept children?

Absolutely, our Hotel welcomes children.

Are children charged?

Two children, under the age of 8 years, stay for free sharing the room with their parents. Children after 9 years old pay an amount of $40 plus taxes per night.

Do you accept pets?

No, our Hotel do not accept pets.

How do I check in at the Hotel?

Very easy. Since the Hotel already have your booking (if it has been guaranteed), just present your reservation's documents to the Front Desk staff.

What are the Check-in and Check-out times?

The check-in time at La Mariposa Hotel is 3:00 PM and the check-out time is 12:MD. We will of course do our best to have a room available for you whenever you arrive. However, this can never be guaranteed and is dependent on the occupancy level the night before. If you are planning to arrive early then you may wish to book your room from the night before. If you are departing late, special rates are available for late check out.

Can I exchange money at the Hotel?

Yes, at the Front Desk.

Does the Hotel accept Travelers Checks?

Yes, the Hotel offer 3 Rooms with handicap access.

Does the Hotel offer parking?

Yes. Our hotel offers 2 self parking lots, with security 24/7. Free of charge!

Are there views from the room?

All our rooms boats spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, except for our large Standard Garden View room.  Also, our Full Ocean view room, Premier Ocean View Room and our Honeymoon Suite, also offer a beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park view.

Do rooms have hairdryers?

Yes , all our rooms have hairdryers, as well as telephones, air conditioning and hot water.

Do rooms have balconies?

Yes, all our rooms have either balconies or terraces.

Does the Hotel offer Internet access?

Yes, all our rooms offer Internet access. Wireless in public areas & rooms. Our Internet service is free. Also we have two computers at the Front Desk, for guest uses.

How far is Hotel from the Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach?

We are located o the highest peak of Manuel Antonio, 3 miles from the Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. The Hotel provide free shuttle service to and from the beach four times per day that it take about 5 minutes to arrives in the main beach, and you can also go by walk it takes about 15-20 minutes, you can ask for direcctions at the Front Desk.

Does the Hotel have a restaurant?

Yes, we have a restaurant specialize in International & Costa Rican Cuisine, open from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.

Does the Hotel have a Concierge?

Our hotel offer all local activities through a Tour desk, managed by our Concierge.

We accept all mayor credit cards payments.

What kind of activities your Hotel offer?

There are several activities we do reccommned in the area. The most important are:

Should I book these tours in advance?

In high season yes. However we you suggest to do it even in low season, so when you get here you don't have to worry about it.

Are babysitting services available?

Yes, babysitting services are available at most of the hotels upon request. Please ask the Reservation Office for the price.
